MutiSports Guildford Principal - Ingrid Dillon
Ingrid has been Principal of MultiSports Guildford for 7 years. She has a huge passion for sport, enjoying a wide variety as a young girl leading through to her teenage years. At school Ingrid was a dedicated member of the Netball, Rounders, Tennis, Gymnastics, Swimming and Athletics teams. This enthusiasm for sport led Ingrid to become Principal of MultiSports Guildford, which allows her to offer similar opportunities to local children.
"There are so many advantages and benefits for children who attend MultiSports Guildford. Some can be as simple as giving children confidence to try something new, whilst other benefits include the development of your child's interactive skills in a safe environment with new individuals, along with more physical activity then what is currently being offered in schools.
MultiSports Main School Coach - Michael Horne
Michael has vast experience working with children in a variety of sports. He has a UEFA C Licence, BS (Hons) Degree Physical Education, USSF C Licence in Coaching, FA Coaching Disability Football, Level I Fencing, Emergency Aid and Safeguarding children.
Michael currently works full time in a Primary School teaching PE and also coaches several teams in the Guildford area (Boys, Disability and Ladies teams). Michael has over 10 years experience coaching and has an extensive knowledge of sport.
Michael says: The MultiSports programs develops children not only physically but also socially and personally. This is due to performing a variety of activities such as Individual and team sports and also team building games. Saturday afternoons would not be the same without it.
MultiSports Main School Coach - Asa Warner
Asa comes to MultiSports with a wealth of coaching experience. Qualified in ActivKids Level 3 and FA Level 2. Asa has coached at many football clubs in the UK with Farnham & Aldershot Town also in America with Hendersonville in North Carolina & IRSA in Vero Beach Florida.
"I really enjoy coaching the wide variety of sports that we do here at MultiSports. The ethos of the MultiSports and the approach we have in the sessions is perfectly structured to guarantee child developent both physically and mentally. The wide variety of sports on offer is unique to MultiSports and all the students enjoy the fun sessions and benefit immensely from the program. Students of all abilities will gain so much from the program whether they are new to a sport or a very sporty person"
MultiSports Main School Coach - Matt Tye
Matt has a real passion for coaching children and developing both their sporting ability and personality.
Matt has a wide range of coaching experience within different sports, age groups and abilities. He recently graduated with a BS (Hons) Sports Coaching and holds these coaching qualifications; ECB Level 2 in Cricket, Multiskills Level 2, Principles of Coaching Level 2, UK Dodgeball Level 2, Basketball Level 1 and Tag/Touch Rugby. He also is a qualified lifeguard, first aid in sport, mentor in sport, Automated External Defibrillator and Epipen (Adrenaline Auto Injection Module).
Matt says: The MultiSports program is a good programme to be involved with as not only does it help to develop the children both physically and technically but also socially as it creates new bonds. This supports the use of the team and individual sports programmes as it helps nurture them.
MultiSports Little Sporties Coach - Stevie Warr
Stevie has recently joined the coaching team at MultiSports Guildford. He currently looks after our Little Sporties classes for 4-6 year olds.
Stevie has gained a lot of experience working with children of all ages and currently works in many of the London schools developing children's skills in football and rugby but also delivering multi-sport sessions. Stevie is also a Judo expert and has had a passion for this sport since he was young. Stevie has BTEC extended diploma in rugby and is currently finishing a Sports coaching Foundation course at St Mary's University.
Stevie says "I think MultiSports is a great way for children of a school age to play and learn new sports that they will not find at their own school.
MultiSports delivers not only sporting skills but it has the ability for children to learn the necessary core values that are important to us including social and team working skills.
Coaching at MultiSports is a great experience and one that I would recommend any child to try".
